Who is Alpha for?

Alpha is for everyone and anyone. The beauty of Alpha is that there are no questions that are too hostile, too silly, or too simple.

Alpha has no prerequisites whatsoever. We come together with one another as we are, free to be ourselves.

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a space to explore life’s big questions in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Each week includes food, a dynamic video, and open conversation.

No pressure, no cost—just honest discussion with others on a journey.

All are welcome—no matter where you are in your faith or life. Come and see.

How can I take part?

Can I invite others?

Absolutely! Alpha is open to anyone from anywhere!

What to expect?

Good Food

Alpha is like a dinner party, where guests are invited to socialize over food; either a snack during the day or a full meal in the evening.

Good Films

Each evening features a 25-minute presentation designed

to inspire more questions rather than provide answers.

Guests explore the big issues around faith and Christianity,

addressing questions such as Who is Jesus? and How can we

have faith?

Good Conversation

The best part of the night is the conversation, where you make new friends, ask big questions, and share your thoughts and experiences of life and faith in a small group. No one has to share, and no question is off the table.

I’ve been a practicing Catholic for years, should I come to Alpha?

YES! Alpha creates an opportunity for an authentic encounter with Christ, and regardless of where you are in your faith journey, that experience can never grow old or unimportant.

My friend doesn’t go to Church, can they come to Alpha?

YES! Alpha is for anyone and everyone—people at all different places in their faith, even nonbelievers, are welcome and invited to come and see what Alpha is all about.

What do I need to bring?

Nothing. While there is no need to take notes, as there aren’t any tests or assessments, many people do like to bring a notepad and pen to write down interesting or insightful things they hear.
